World Harmonies International Music Competition

Entries are open. Judged from a single video recording, in your own age group and on your own instrument.

2026 - 2027 World Harmonies Competition

Registration open

The World Harmonies Competition invites young performers worldwide to submit a video recording showing their technical skill, artistic expression and interpretative depth. Entrants are judged within their own age group and instrument, and multiple winners are selected in every category.

Special honours go to the Top Honor recipients, who receive a cash prize and a formal invitation to perform at the Winners' Recital in Seattle. Winners are featured on this site and in World Harmonies' promotional media.

The competition is highly selective, with a limited number of top prizes. Every category is assessed by a panel of professional adjudicators, including university professors and experienced performers.

How it works

  1. 1

    Record one performance

A single unedited take, uploaded to YouTube. You may set the video to Unlisted — the adjudicators do not need it to be public.

  2. 2

    Enter and pay online

One form, one flat fee. Your entry is confirmed the moment payment succeeds; there is no need to email us to check.

  3. 3

Add or change the video any time before the deadline

The link is editable from your own entry page until the submission deadline, so you can enter first and record later.

  4. 4

Results are published on this site

Every entrant is judged within their own age group and instrument. Winners appear on the results page and selected winners are invited to the Winners Recital in Seattle.

Our mission

The World Harmonies is committed to fostering the growth and well-being of young musicians and music enthusiasts as they pursue their passion for musical learning and performance.

We seek to create a supportive environment for aspiring musicians to thrive, and to encourage artistic development, creativity and technical excellence. Alongside the growth of individual performers we place significant emphasis on the role of music educators, recognising their pivotal part in shaping the future of classical music. By providing structured opportunities and positive engagement we aim to improve the quality of music education and ensure that educators feel supported and valued in their work.

Through these efforts we aim to build a vibrant and inclusive musical community where people from all backgrounds can explore, express and expand their musical talents.
